A Summer Yoga Weekend on Rydal Water

A yoga weekend on Rydal Water. 2–4th July 2027 · From £475.
Lake by Nab cottage

A little space to breathe

Imagine waking up beside Rydal Water as the summer sunrise settles over the Lake District. Over this three-day retreat, we'll practise yoga, meditate, walk through the surrounding countryside and enjoy nourishing vegetarian food, while giving you plenty of time simply to rest.

There is no need to be experienced in yoga, and you don't need to come with anyone else. Whether you're looking to slow down, reconnect with yourself, spend time in nature or simply have a weekend away from everyday life, you're very welcome.

Come for the yoga. Stay for the mountains, the lake, the good food and the chance to properly switch off.

"I completely managed to relax and recharge. The lakeside location was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the yoga and mindfulness sessions were perfect. Sion and Rosanna put together a lovely, lovely weekend." — Anna Gipson, Nab Cottage retreat guest

Built in the 16th century on the banks of Rydal Water, Nab Cottage has a warm, lived-in charm — wood-burning stove, cosy communal areas and views straight onto the lake. It also has a colourful past: Thomas de Quincey wrote "Confessions of an English Opium-Eater" here.

Retreat Highlights:

Daily Yoga & Meditation: Start and end each day with yoga and mindfulness sessions suitable for all levels, designed to help you release tension and regain inner balance.

Walking Trips: Explore the stunning surroundings of Rydal Water and the Lake District with two guided walks. One to the beautiful Rydal caves nearby and another to the village of Grasmere and an optional extended walk to Easdale Tarn.

Seasonal Vegetarian Meals: Enjoy nourishing, wholesome meals prepared with care, inspired by seasonal produce, and catering to all dietary needs.

Time for Reflection: Relax in the cozy, inviting spaces of Nab Cottage or take peaceful moments in the beautiful gardens, woodlands and lake nearby.

Connection with Nature: Experience the rejuvenating power of nature as you walk among the hills, trees, and waters of the Lake District, fostering a sense of connection and clarity.

Sleep Workshop: Discover how you can use mindfulness and yoga nidra to sleep better with Siôn's signature workshop. You'll gain actionable steps you can take in your life to achieve deep and restful sleep.

Yoga Nidra: Learn about how yoga nidra can promote deep and restful sleep with regular evening yoga nidra sessions throughout the retreat.
