Who are we? Heartful Retreats - Siôn and Rosanna

Rosanna and Siôn

Hi, we’re Siôn and Rosanna — and together we run Heartful Retreats.

For us, a retreat isn’t just a holiday or a break from routine. It’s a chance to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself and the world around you. That’s why we created Heartful Retreats back in 2017, combining our love of yoga, mindfulness, and nature into something we could share with others.

Since then, we’ve been guiding retreats in some amazing places — the Lake District, Snowdonia, and even further afield in France, Greece, and Italy. Each year we host around eight retreats, and every single one is different, but they all have the same heart: time to rest, recharge, and find a deeper sense of well-being. We really do love running these retreats and they have certainly helped us to grow as teachers.

Our story - How Heartful Retreats came to be

We first met through our shared passion for yoga and mindfulness. Over the years, that passion has grown into both a partnership and a community. What started as an idea has now become a space where people come together — to hike mountain trails, share meals around the table, move through yoga practice, or simply sit quietly in meditation.

The thing we love most is seeing people leave a retreat feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected — both to themselves and to others.

About Siôn

I (Siôn) am a mindfulness coach and yoga teacher. I’ve spent years helping people manage stress and anxiety, both on retreat and in daily life. Alongside my training in Hatha yoga, mindfulness, and Yoga Nidra, I’ve been lucky to share my work on TV and radio — but my favourite place to teach will always be out in nature, with a group of people on retreat.

About Rosanna

I (Rosanna) am a British Wheel of Yoga teacher with over 15 years’ experience. I teach dynamic Hatha-style classes, both in groups and one-to-one, and I’m passionate about helping people feel stronger, more mobile, and less stressed. Over the years I’ve trained in yoga for mental health, sports yoga, and yoga for healthy backs — but what I love most is creating space for people to reconnect with their bodies and feel good in themselves.

Why we do this

At the heart of Heartful Retreats is a simple wish: to create a warm, welcoming space where people can come as they are. Life can be busy and overwhelming — we know that feeling too — so our retreats are about slowing down, spending time outdoors, and remembering what it feels like to really be present.

For us, it’s not just about yoga or hiking or meditation on their own, but about weaving them together in a way that feels nourishing and real.
